From our beginnings in 1983…
with the launch of Destination Conservation (DC) in Edmonton, our journey has been one of growth, adaptation, and impact. After the closure of the original DC organization in 2003, the program was relaunched in British Columbia in 2005 by the Pacific Resource Conservation Society, and in 2011, the success of the program led to expansion back into Alberta. In 2018, we became the Elements Society, a name that reflects our mission, vision, and goals, while continuing to grow our programs. Over the years, we’ve partnered with schools, districts, and communities to deliver innovative initiatives such as Zero Waste Place, EcoCooks, and FERN, reaching tens of thousands of students across BC and Alberta. Today, Elements Society is proud to be a Canadian registered charity, building on decades of experience to inspire environmental action and education for future generations.
